I was just starting to break down the box art that was just released, but from way out in left field, these popped up on Reddit today. Not officially released from Ubisoft, but more convincing than anything else out there, this is what Assassin’s Creed III should look like. Just scoping out the different environments, and the little hunting session (MGS3, anyone?), this is looking to be a HUGE departure from the norm of the series. After yesterday’s leak by a Best Buy employee, Ubisoft has come forward today to confirm the setting for Assassin’s Creed III — the American Revolution.
Not only that, but the publishing company also released the official box art for the game and might I say, it looks amazing. Little information has been given about the game itself, but looking at the newly released images, it looks as if our protagonist has a choice of weapons ranging from a bow to a gun to a tomahwak. Also, the main character appears to be wearing items of Native American heritage and what appears to be the beak of a bald eagle on his cowl. Continue reading
Not even a full year after Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, gamers will be reunited with their favorite assassin in training Desmond Miles on October 30 for Assassin’s Creed III. Ubisoft was very light on the details, but company CEO Yves Guillemot says ACIII will be “the biggest launch in Ubisoft history.” Continue reading
