Remember when we said Sly Cooper Collection was rated by the ESRB for Vita over a year ago? Well that’s finally being fulfilled. The shocker is that God of War Collection is coming too! God of War Collection will be out on May 6th, Sly Cooper Collection on May 27th.
Borderlands 2 will be making it’s way to the Vita soon, alongside a slimmer, lighter Vita redesign (PS Vita PCH-2000 Model). The game will be sold as both part of a bundle with the new model (as a downloadable title) and as a physical retail game. The Vita 2000 model was released in Japan back in October of last year, featuring a slimmer body, longer battery life, and an LED screen (the current model sports a superior OLED screen). Amazon is already taking pre-orders with a release date set for May 31, 2014. There was no official date set when this was announced, so don’t be shocked if that date is changed soon.
Remember the love all over again with Tidus and Yuna in this special Valentine’s Day trailer. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be available March 18th for PS3 and Vita.
It’s exactly what it sounds like. Here we have Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune, playing an early build of his new game Mighty No. 9. According to the youtube notes attached to the video, this was from Inafune’s speech at the 2014 D.I.C.E. Awards.
Do you like Lego games? Are you planning on seeing The Lego Movie in theaters? Pick up a retail copy of The Lego Movie Videogame, out now for PC/PS3/PS4/VITA/XBOX 360/XBOX ONE/3DS/Wii U, and get a voucher that’s good for $7.50 off admission to the movie! I’m not too sure what to expect from the game, but given TT Fusion’s recent releases for the series, it’s definitely worth checking out. I’ll let you know more once I get my hands on it. Has anyone already seen the movie or played the game? Let us know what you think!
Typically when you think of February, your mind goes to chocolates, flowers, and other lovey-dovey things. So we thought we’d celebrate this sappy month by scaring the bejesus out of you with Outlast on PS4.
We also have some great single-player PS3 experiences, including Metro: Last Light, a first-person shooter with an interesting take on morality, and Remember Me, a third-person action adventure where you’ll take down an evil corporation by beating lots of people up with your own unique combos and messing with people’s memories. If you have a significant other, you might be able to rope him or her into some bank-robbing action with Payday 2 on PS3. After all, everyone likes stealing stuff. I mean, uh… nevermind.
Finally, two PS Vita titles are joining the Instant Game Collection: Street Fighter X Tekken and ModNation Racers: Road Trip. Both include functionality with their respective PS3 versions. Fight against your friends in Street Fighter X Tekken no matter what platform they have, or download your previously made PS3 creations and use them in ModNation Racers: Road Trip.
We had already reported earlier this month that Outlast would be a part of this next month’s PS+ games, which I’m not looking forward to experiencing, but definitely going to be playing. I’m also looking forward to getting my hands on the 3 PS3 titles coming. All of them are games I had wanted to try out last year, but never got around to. I actually already own to 2 Vita games announced, but they’re both great and I recommend them for anyone who has a chance to play them. This is going to be another great month for PlayStation owners.
It’s not much, but it’s definitely great to see the game coming along. With a release date set for 2015, I’ll pretty much take anything at this point. Continue reading
Sony is saying that PSN service will be down Monday, January 27th from 11am to around 5:30pm for mandatory maintenance. Make sure to find a temporary hobby, or just play some single player / couch co-op(!) with a buddy.
Hope you’ve been saving up on duct-tape, because your wallet is about to have a hole in it! (No?) Starting tomorrow, PlayStation Network will be launching another one of it’s amazing sales, even more amazing if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber! 14 games for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita will be on sale for 50% off or 75% off for PS+ members. Well this is certainly something we’re not used to seeing, though it does happen
occasionally rarely, but Ubisoft has announced they will be bumping the release date of Rayman Legends on PS4 and XBOX ONE up to February 18th. That a whole 10 days ahead of its original February 28th release date! Amazing isn’t it? Continue reading
I can’t stop smiling. I just finished playing the first chapter of Media Molecule’s Vita platformer Tearaway and I can’t seem to wipe the grin from my face.
For those of you who don’t know what Tearaway is about, you play as a messenger (boy or girl) trying to deliver a message to yourself in your world, referred to as “the You”. You must travel through a world made of paper using many of the Vita’s different features to help you along the way. Continue reading
Although nothing has been officially announced, nor leaked, the ESRB has given The Sly Collection, the one from PS3, an ‘E’ rating for the PSVita. No given release date or details, but I’m sure an official announcement is right around the corner.
Sony has made it official: Jak and Daxter HD Collection will be coming to the PSVita in June for $29.99.
I’ve been playing through the amazing 2D adventure brawler Guacamelee! this week on my Vita and couldn’t help but notice all the amazing video game references sprinkled throughout the game. Can you name them all?
Dragon’s Crown will be out this Summer for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
Gaijin Games’ Bit.Trip Presents…Runner 2 released today for Wii U and Steam. It will be out tomorrow on Xbox Live Arcade and March 5th on PlayStation Network (Vita and PS3).
Hide your wife! Hide your kids! Last year’s brutal PC indie hit Hotline Miami is coming to PSN for PS3 and Vita this spring!
The latest installment in the ‘Sly Cooper’ series is being pushed to the beginning of 2013. Be on the lookout for it on Playstation 3 and PS VITA early next year.
Sega announced the launch details for the upcoming Jet Set Radio HD release on Xbox Live, PSN, PC and Vita. On Tuesday, September 11th PlayStation Plus members will be getting first dibs with regular members getting the game a week later on September 18th. Xbox 360 and PC owners can get their hands on it on the 19th, and Vita owners will finally get their own piece a few weeks later on October 16th. Jet Set Radio HD will run you $9.99 (800 MP).
Still no word on an iOS & Android release date or price.
Sony confirms Raiden (MGS, not MK) and Sackboy for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
Zen Pinball 2 coming to PS3 and Vita September 4th. Unnamed Pop-Cap game themed table to be announced at PAX Prime.
So not only is one of my favorite games of all time coming to 360, PS3 AND Vita, but also iOS and Android platforms. I will certainly be painting the town all over town this Summer.
On another note, it’s amazing to see that our mobile and tablet devices are now to the point that they can successfully run titles such as Jet Set Radio. Obviously we’ve seen the likes of GTA III and Infinity Blade run beautifully on these devices, but I still can’t help it to be surprised at first when I get my hands on them for the first time. It really is amazing.
Now this leaves the question: When will we be seeing some Power Stone love from Capcom?
