The last in the Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight is coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year with developer Rocksteady Studios taking back the reigns after Warner Bros Montreal had a go with Arkham Origins last year. The story takes place one year after the events of Arkham City with the Joker still presumed dead. From the speech in the trailer, it sounds like Scarecrow will be headlining the villains this time.
The latest trailer for The Order: 1886, coming to the PlayStation 4, gives us a solid look at actual gameplay, thought it’s mostly a highlights real of some QTEs and a look at one of the weapons. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
PS3 and 360 owners of Burnout Paradise can download the Legendary Cars DLC pack for free today as Critereon Games pays tribute to the movie director, Harold Ramis (who brought us some of the most iconic comedies of all time such as Animal House, Groundhog Day, and Ghostbusters). The Legendary Cars pack includes the ECTO-1 from the Ghostbusters movies, referred to as the “Manhattan Spirit” in the game.

Stop what you’re doing right now and watch this 13 minute gameplay video for South Park: The Stick of Truth. Ubisoft wants to keep us laughing all the way to March 4th.
While you’re out trying to get kisses today, don’t forget to download The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC. It’s out today on the PlayStation Store for $14.99 or free for Season Pass owners!
Is this a dream? Is this really happening? I was starting to feel a little like Duke Nukem Forever all over again, but it’s not! Ubisoft announced today that South Park: The Stick of Truth has officially gone gold! That means we will actually be playing the game on March 4th. Stock up on cheesy poofs!
Remember when we said Sly Cooper Collection was rated by the ESRB for Vita over a year ago? Well that’s finally being fulfilled. The shocker is that God of War Collection is coming too! God of War Collection will be out on May 6th, Sly Cooper Collection on May 27th.
Borderlands 2 will be making it’s way to the Vita soon, alongside a slimmer, lighter Vita redesign (PS Vita PCH-2000 Model). The game will be sold as both part of a bundle with the new model (as a downloadable title) and as a physical retail game. The Vita 2000 model was released in Japan back in October of last year, featuring a slimmer body, longer battery life, and an LED screen (the current model sports a superior OLED screen). Amazon is already taking pre-orders with a release date set for May 31, 2014. There was no official date set when this was announced, so don’t be shocked if that date is changed soon.
The team behind Dead Island, Techland, turns up the speed with Dying Light, infusing Mirror’s Edge with Left 4 Dead. This trailer shows us how the game looks running on the PlayStation 4 as well as give us a chance to see the multiple types of zombies you’ll come across. Dying Light will be out later this year on PC, PS3, PS4, 360, and Xbox One.
This game is definitely going on my list for games to look out for in 2014. The creators of Left 4 Dead are taking the 4-player co-op formula and pitting them against a fifth player who controls a monstrous beast that evolves and grows more powerful the longer the game lasts. Monster Hunter is a series that comes to mind when I think about this game. Look for Evolve later this year when it comes to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Originally released in Japan published by Bandai Namco, Disney Magical World is making it’s way to America on April 11th. Think of it as Animal Crossing meets Disney and you’ll understand.
Has it really been 8 years since Heavenly Sword was released? I never actually had the chance to play more than the demo for the game, but I still want to give it a shot. IGN brings us our first glimpse of the movie adaptation, coming to you from Blockade Entertainment and scripted by Todd Farmer, who also wrote the script for Drive Angry. No telling what to expect yet, but the action looks intense.
Remember the love all over again with Tidus and Yuna in this special Valentine’s Day trailer. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be available March 18th for PS3 and Vita.
FINAL-ly! The prodigal daughter RETURNS! (No?) This is going to be a huge week in gaming. We’ve got the final chapter for FFXIII, Skullgirls returns to PSN in the form of Encore, World of Tanks is blasting it’s way to the Xbox 360, and we definitely can’t forget the first bit of campaign DLC for The Last of Us! Anyone who hasn’t had a chance to play some of the biggest games over the last two years, or those who just got their hands on a PS3 or 360, can pick up Borderlands 2, Dishonored, Skyrim, and BioShock Infinite as part of a bundle. I’m actually really wanting to play Far Cry Classic. I never got a chance to play the first game, and this is my opportunity. Anyone else looking forward to some of these this week? Let us know in the comments below!

This was one of the more unexpected bits of news this week: It appears that online retailer, Amazon, has purchased Killer Instinct developer, Double Helix Studios. While this only pushes rumors of Amazon working on releasing their own game console, I’m more worried about what’s going to happen to Killer Instinct. Microsoft did comment on the merger stating that development would switch over to another third party developer, but Microsoft Studios would retain upkeep of the game as well as continue work on new content. With the recent success and praise of the reboot on Xbox One, I’m curious to see what other developers would be willing to toss their hat in the ring to work on it.
It’s exactly what it sounds like. Here we have Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune, playing an early build of his new game Mighty No. 9. According to the youtube notes attached to the video, this was from Inafune’s speech at the 2014 D.I.C.E. Awards.
Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry Classic, a revamped and reloaded version of the original Far Cry, is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 via PSN and the Live Marketplace next Tuesday, February 11th. The game will be $9.99 and available digitally. No word on a retail release or not. Also look out for the Far Cry Compilation coming to PS3 in stores on the 11th as well. It contains Far Cry 2,3, and Blood Dragon for $39.99.
Do you like Lego games? Are you planning on seeing The Lego Movie in theaters? Pick up a retail copy of The Lego Movie Videogame, out now for PC/PS3/PS4/VITA/XBOX 360/XBOX ONE/3DS/Wii U, and get a voucher that’s good for $7.50 off admission to the movie! I’m not too sure what to expect from the game, but given TT Fusion’s recent releases for the series, it’s definitely worth checking out. I’ll let you know more once I get my hands on it. Has anyone already seen the movie or played the game? Let us know what you think!
Everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog is getting a face lift this year in the form of Sonic Boom, the latest animated series, video game, and toy line to feature Sonic and his crew. The gameplay from the trailer above seems to be reminiscent of the Sonic Heroes game from 2004. Unless the other characters are part of a co-op mode, expect to see a lot of teamwork based play here. The redesigns for Sonic, Tails, and Amy aren’t that much of a difference, but it’s Knuckles that I’m trying to get used to. This is definitely a different take on his look. The beefed up echidna definitely fits his attitude more than his scrawny body we currently know. I just really have to see more of it before I can truly judge how I feel about it. You can also check out the trailer for the TV series below.
No release date has been set for Sonic Boom as of yet, but you can look for the game on Wii U and 3DS. They will be serving as a prequel to the show, which will be broadcast on Cartoon Network. What are your thoughts about this updated look?
According to EA, the Xbox 360 version for upcoming shooter Titanfall has been pushed back to March 25th. The PC and Xbox One versions will since release on March 11th.
Ubisoft’s Child of Light, a traditional JRPG-styled game using the UbiArt Framework (from Rayman Origins / Legends), is coming to PC/PS3/PS4/XBOX 360/XBOX ONE/Wii U(!) on April 30th through their respective download services (i.e. Xbox Live, PSN, Steam, etc.).
The latest trailer for upcoming steal-action game, Thief, shows everything you need to know before stepping out into the shadows. The game releases for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on February 25th.
Though this video is mainly about the team behind Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, this definitely gives an interesting look on Japanese game development in general. Lightning Returns will be out for PS3 and Xbox 360 February 11th.
Airtight Games and Square Enix announced today that Murdered: Soul Suspect, an upcoming ‘ghost detective’ action-adventure game, will be coming out for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in June of this year. The video posted above actually came out yesterday, but only discussed an Xbox One version. Nothing was confirmed yet on a PS4 version until today.
