HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Nintendo 3DS! That’s right, the little handheld that could, and did, turns 3 today. What are your favorite 3DS memories/games?
Originally released in Japan published by Bandai Namco, Disney Magical World is making it’s way to America on April 11th. Think of it as Animal Crossing meets Disney and you’ll understand.
It’s exactly what it sounds like. Here we have Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune, playing an early build of his new game Mighty No. 9. According to the youtube notes attached to the video, this was from Inafune’s speech at the 2014 D.I.C.E. Awards.
Do you like Lego games? Are you planning on seeing The Lego Movie in theaters? Pick up a retail copy of The Lego Movie Videogame, out now for PC/PS3/PS4/VITA/XBOX 360/XBOX ONE/3DS/Wii U, and get a voucher that’s good for $7.50 off admission to the movie! I’m not too sure what to expect from the game, but given TT Fusion’s recent releases for the series, it’s definitely worth checking out. I’ll let you know more once I get my hands on it. Has anyone already seen the movie or played the game? Let us know what you think!
Everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog is getting a face lift this year in the form of Sonic Boom, the latest animated series, video game, and toy line to feature Sonic and his crew. The gameplay from the trailer above seems to be reminiscent of the Sonic Heroes game from 2004. Unless the other characters are part of a co-op mode, expect to see a lot of teamwork based play here. The redesigns for Sonic, Tails, and Amy aren’t that much of a difference, but it’s Knuckles that I’m trying to get used to. This is definitely a different take on his look. The beefed up echidna definitely fits his attitude more than his scrawny body we currently know. I just really have to see more of it before I can truly judge how I feel about it. You can also check out the trailer for the TV series below.
No release date has been set for Sonic Boom as of yet, but you can look for the game on Wii U and 3DS. They will be serving as a prequel to the show, which will be broadcast on Cartoon Network. What are your thoughts about this updated look?
In light of the recent failure to push Wii U console numbers, Nintendo is really aiming to step up their game and truly bring their products up to spec with the rest of the others. One of these steps will finally bring multiple console shared content. This means that people who own more than one Wii U or 3DS, like myself, will finally be able to share content across all of their systems as it will be tied to their Nintendo Network ID as opposed to being tied to the console itself, like it is now. This is actually one of the bigger announcements coming out of Nintendo lately, for me at least. Anyone else affected by this?
Capcom has officially announced that it will be bringing Japan’s Monster Hunter 4G to America in 2015. Renamed Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, the game will be released on the Nintendo 3DS. Monster Hunter 4 was already released only in Japan last year. I wonder if we’ll see a Wii U release along side the game like they did with the third game.
Here’s the latest gameplay trailer for Yoshi’s New Island coming to the Nintendo 3DS on March 14th.
It’s not much, but it’s definitely great to see the game coming along. With a release date set for 2015, I’ll pretty much take anything at this point. Continue reading
