[news]: Halloween is Coming Early With Call of Duty Ghost’s First Map Pack

Because, why not? Announced today, Call of Duty: Ghosts will be getting it’s first round of downloadable maps labeled “Onslaught” brings three new multiplayer maps, a new extinction map, and two new weapons. The most interesting of these things being the ability to play as Michael Myers from the Halloween movies in the “Fog” map. As out of place as this might seem, the Call of Duty franchise has always gone a little crazy when it comes to DLC maps, starting with the zombie mode maps from Black Ops. I personally think this is a great direction to go, especially considering how everyone seems to think the series has gotten a little stale. Players will be able to turn into the horror film antagonist by completing a field order during play, instantly switching you over and cuing the all to familiar theme from the movies. I have this feeling that younger players simply won’t get it, but they’re not supposed to be playing these games anyway. Oh well, this is one of the first DLC packs for a Call of Duty game that I’m actually looking forward to since Black Ops. “Onslaught” will be available on Xbox Live January 28th, then available for the rest in the month following. What are your thoughts?
